Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park & The Newark Museum of Art

Everyone thinks of lightbulbs when they hear Thomas Alva Edison’s name. His creative genius, though, came through in his numerous other inventions. Explore all of his creations on our guided tour of the Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park and learn about the wonders that took place at Edison’s historic Menlo Park.

Following the visit at the Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park, the Friends of BCHS will then head to The Newark Museum of Art. This museum features collections of American art, decorative arts, contemporary art, and the arts of Asia, Africa, the Americas, and the ancient world. Enjoy a docent led tour of "Seeing America" which explores how artists have shaped American culture and identity.
